Who we are
Ayden's Garage is a vehicle repair and maintenance workshop in Lagos, Nigeria. This policy explains what personal information we hold about you, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to meet our obligations under the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
What we collect
We collect your name, phone number, email address and postal address so that we can contact you about your vehicle and send you quotations, invoices and receipts. We record details of your vehicles, the work you ask us to do, what we found, what we charged and what you paid. If you write to us through our website we keep that message and your contact details so we can reply.
Why we hold it
We hold your information to carry out the work you have asked us to do, to keep the accounting records the law requires us to keep, and to contact you about your vehicle. We only send you offers or service reminders if you have asked us to.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share it only where we must: with our accountants and auditors, with our bank when you pay us, and with the authorities where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your customer and job records for as long as you are a customer and for the period after that which our tax and accounting obligations require. Enquiries sent through the website are kept only until they have been dealt with and closed.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, ask us to delete your record where we are not required to keep it, ask us to stop using it, and withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. Customers with a portal login can do all of that themselves under Your data on the My Details page — including downloading a copy of their own data — and we will answer any request within 30 days. Everyone else can write to us and we will do the same.
